I think everyone's speculated on this at least once - what if there was a Ratha movie? Leaving aside the cartoon (which I loved when I saw it as a kid but now the shockingly primitive animation and hash job required to squeeze the plot into a short format are excruciating), how would you guys like to see it made?

Traditonal (cel) animation?
Computer animation?
A combination of the two?
Or something else (stop-motion, puppets, etc)?

Who would you cast as voice actors?

Which book would you most like to see onscreen?

Would you rather it be a movie or a tv series (maybe a miniseries)?

I have my opinions but I'd like to see what y'all think before I start pontificating.

I think trad. animation, and a miniseries would be great because that way you could do all of the books, as well as have clare come up with new adventures (like Ratha's Island). Even though it woud be out of order, I'd most love to see Ratha and Thistle-Chaser on the big screen (or the small screen) b/c that is my favorite out of the books. rathasmil.jpg

Oh it's have to be traditional cell animation, definitely.

From first reading "Ratha's Creature" I always thought that it could be made into a film that could rival The Lion King. I'd love to see it on the big screen.

Not to sure who I'd like to do the voices - but they'd have to fit the character very well. I'd be very picky!

~ I have to agree with traditional animation.

~ I think that Sigourney Weaver would make a good Ratha. I'm not really sure why...

~ I'd prefer it to be like the Harry Potter series, like each book is its own movie. That way they could at least fit most of the plot in.

~ Definately Clan Ground. It's my favorite book out of the whole series, and the first one that I bought for myself.

Definitely traditional. I'm no fan of 3D animation.

-I would like to see it done in 3D animation or if it could be done in real D.

I agree with Thakur = Liam I just love the sound of his voice.
Now don't shoot me but I think Anglina Jolie would be a good Ratha.
The rest I wouldn't know many actors by name only by the sounds of their voices. (I'm a big fan of animated movies)

I would prefer a series so it would be similar to the books and it would allow a reasonable timeline so it wouldn't leave anything important out. One season per book perhaps?

I always liked Neve Campbell for Ratha, especially when younger and with Bonechewer.
Matthew Broderick for Thakur. Sorry, lol, I just like his voice.
I'd have to think about the others, those are just two I've ALWAYS speculated on.

I think it would be incredible if it was done like the Disney film Dinosaur, so real, and so beautiful...

I, too, like Matthew Broderick. The only objection that I have to that is after seeing him in The Producers (great movie!), I can only see him playing a character similiar to Bloom. Therefore, in my mind, Broderick=Khushi.
